The Altingsburg Lighthouse is a historical lighthouse standing tall on the top of Melawati Hill overlooking the Straits Of Malacca.
It was built by The Dutch during the 18th Century. The lighthouse is not open to the public. The lighthouse is still functioning well and serves as a guide for the vessels that are travel towards the area.
There are cannons placed around the lighthouse. Tourists gather at the observation deck under the lighthouse. The observation deck is also a perfect place to see the breathtaking sunsets. Monkeys are among the main attractions on Melawati Hill.
